Used the omnipod system for several years. Came to omnipod from desitronic after recommendation from dr.

Loved having no tubes. Overall the system worked well. Had a few issues with bad pods. They were replaced at no cost.

Just had wasted some insulin. My insurance had ok coverage with some out of pocket expense. It was worth the copay amount to have no tubes! After insurance changes, I talked with CS and billing dept.

THEY said they would write off the difference if I would agree to pay the same copay amount as I had been paying. I was so happy to keep the omnipod. I *** they were a great company and was very thankful. THEY said they wanted to keep me as a customer.

I paid my $284 copay each time the bill arrived. about a year later, I received a bill for close to $1800. It was for the balance due after insurance and my copays. After a few phone calls, everything was back to the original agreement.

CS said billing did not see notes on my account. Back to the $284 copay. Every 6 months I would repeat this process. Quick phone call would take care of it.

Then the last time I called, CS said there wasn't any notes on my account and I was responsible for amount due. Everyone was nice, including me. I explained I loved the product but I could not afford it due to the cost. (Thanks OBUMMER care, Dumbocrats and RePUBEicans, you all suck!

I was better off before you screwed up insurance). I was told I could make payments until I paid off the $2300 balance. It would be ok as long as I was paying something EACH statement. I paid as much as I could each month.

Let me repeat that, I PAID as much as I could each MONTH. Statements do not come each month. Then before 1 year I got a letter out of the blue. I was being turned over to a collection agency for a balance of $150.

I paid almost the full balance in less than 1 year per THEIR words that it would be ok as long as I pay something each statement. I just paid the $150 over the phone and am finished with this company. I now use an insulin pen with no changes in A1C. A lot less expensive.

Now all you haters and trolls bash me all you want. I never said the product wasn't good or reliable. I did everything as we agreed. They were very nice to write off the difference in the beginning.

But to threaten with collection proceedings when I paid them per the agreement? That turned me from the company.

I still tell friends about the product, the write off of the difference, letting me make payments on the balance, but now I add the collection notice from the billing dept. I guess they didn't have notes on my account again.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.
