Omnipod - No Medicare coverage
REALLY. Love the omnipod. Finally got something that gives great control,is awesome to wear without the tube and Medicare won't pay because of a codeing issue. What the heck is the deal here. Omnipod says I can pay out of pocket $295 a month are you kidding . A pump is a pump ,is a pump,is a pump. Aren't we splitting hairs here . You have a very satisfied customer here and have recommended your pump to everyone I know. My grandson is wearing one because I recommended it so highly. I understand this has been going on for years. What is going to be done for people like me who have just become Medicare eligible (isn't that enough of a mess in itself) I'm very disappointed that something like this can keep diabetics unable to choose the pump they want
Reason of review: No payment from Medicare or my supplement.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Omnipod Pros: Small size, Idea of the omnipod, Idea of the omnipod if properly executed, No tubing, No tubing on pod.
Location: Sun City, Florida

The Omni Pod sounds great but when my son checked into it he was told he needed 1299 he's on field care insurance they will not cover. Too bad a great product but guess its only for the rich or for people with decent insurance
